Cleaning the air filters

The air filters must be cleaned at least once every 2 weeks, as dirty filters
hinder the operation of the air conditioner.
• Removing the filters.
The air conditioner is equipped with three air filters. Remove the grating
covering the upper air filter in the direction of the arrow on the hous-
ing and remove the filter. Then remove the lower and side air filters by
removing the screws that hold the grating that covers the lower filter
compartment.
• Cleaning the filters.
Wash the air filters in warm soapy water (40°C), then rinse them with
clean water and dry them thoroughly in open air but not in direct sunlight.
• Installing the filters.
Insert the upper air filter and close the grating. Then insert the lower and
side air filter and tighten the screws that hold the grating of the lower
filter chamber.
Cleaning the air conditioner housing
Clean the housing with a soft, smooth cloth moistened with neutral deter-
gent, then wipe dry with a soft cloth.
Preparing the air conditioner for storage for a long period of time
• Remove the rubber plug from the opening for the drain hose at the rear of
the air conditioner and insert the drain hose into the drain opening. Direct
the drain hose into a drain.
• Remove the plug that covers the bottom drainage hole and let the con
densate completely drain into the drain or into a bowl to pour out later.
• Turn on the air conditioner in dry mode for 12 hours to dry the air condi
tioner thoroughly to prevent mold on the internal parts of the unit.
• Turn off the air conditioner and unplug it.
• Clean the air filters as described in the instructions.
• Wind up the power cord. Remove the batteries from the remote control.
Draining the condensate
In dry mode, remove the rubber plug from the opening for the drain hose at
the rear of the air conditioner, insert the connector (diameter 5/8") into the
opening with the flexible hose (3/4"). For models without a connector with a
flexible hose, simply insert the drain hose into the drain opening. Direct the
drain hose to the drain.

Remove the
drain plug
When the internal drainage tank is full, the safety code 'P1' appears on the
display and the air conditioner beeps. When this happens, immediately turn
off the air conditioner (the fan will spin for some time to a full stop, which
is normal) and unplug it.
Remove the plug that covers the bottom drain opening and let the conden-
sate drain out completely into a drain or bowl for pouring out later. Then
close the bottom drain opening with the plug and turn on the air conditioner.
When you turn the air conditioner on again, the safety code 'P1' on the dis-
play should go out. If it doesn't, contact the service center.
