Cooling/heating/fan mode
Make sure the unit is plugged in and turned on.
1. Press the mode button to cycle through the modes until the desired
mode—cooling, heating or ventilation—is selected.
2. Use the temperature adjustment buttons to set the desired room tem-
perature in the range of 17°C ~30°C.
3. Press the FAN SPEED button to select the fan speed: automatic, high,
medium or low.
4. Press ON/OFF to launch the air conditioner in the specified mode.
NOTE
In fan mode, the room temperature settings are not regulated and not dis-
played. For fan mode you can only perform steps 1, 3 and 4.
Dry mode
Make sure the unit is plugged in and turned on.
1. Press the mode button to select dry mode.
2. Press ON/OFF to launch the air conditioner in the specified mode.
NOTE
In dry mode, the temperature settings and fan speeds are not regulated.
Automatic louver swing
To enable this feature, press SWING.
1. With every brief press of this button, the angle of the louvers changes 6°.
NOTE
Some models have only automatic swinging louvers that cannot be secured
in place.
2. Press and hold this button for 2 seconds to turn on automatic up-and-
down louver swinging. To lock the louvers in position, press the SWING
button again.
NOTE
Louver swinging is regulated automatically. If the louver swinging reduces
the efficiency of the air conditioner in cooling or heating mode, the direc-
tion of the swinging changes automatically.
Timer
• Press TIMER ON to set the time when you want the air conditioner to
turn on.
• Press TIMER OFF to set the time when you want the air conditioner to
turn off.
WARNING!
Valid values for timer settings (in hours):
0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, 6.5, 7.0, 7.5, 8.0, 8.5, 9.0, 9.5,
10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15,16,17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24.

Setting TIMER ON
1. Press TIMER ON. The words TIMER ON will appear in the display on
the remote control along with the previous TIMER ON settings and the
letter 'h.' Now you can specify the settings for TIMER ON by pressing
TIMER ON.
2. The length of time increases each time you press this button. The incre-
ment is half an hour in the 0-10 hour range and one hour in the 10-24
hour range.
3. A few seconds after you set TIMER ON, the display will automatically
show the set temperature, and the letter 'h' disappears.
Setting TIMER OFF
1. Press TIMER OFF. The words TIMER OFF will appear in the display along
with the previous TIMER OFF settings and the letter 'h.' Now you can
specify the settings for TIMER OFF by pressing TIMER OFF.
2. The length of time increases each time you press this button. The incre-
ment is half an hour in the 0-10 hour range and one hour in the 10-24
hour range.
3. Five seconds after setting TIMER OFF, the display will automatically
show the temperature you set, and the letter 'h' disappears.
TIMER PROGRAMMING ExAMPLES
Setting TIMER ON
This setting is optimal for programming the time when you want the air
conditioner to turn on, for example, for when you arrive at home. When you
set TIMER ON, the air conditioner will start with the specified delay.
Example: Programming the air conditioner to turn on after 6 hours.
1. Press TIMER ON. The letter 'h' will appear on the remote control display
along with the previous TIMER ON settings.
2. Press the TIMER ON button until '6:0h' appears on the remote control
display.
3. After a few seconds, the display will show the set temperature, the timer
function will be activated, and the air conditioner will turn on automati-
cally after a delay of 6 hours.
