5. Prepare the Grip Rail
Make a mark 1" (2.5 cm) in from each end of the grip rail on the alignment groove.
NOTE: Use all five fasteners and spacers, no matter what the length of the grip rail is.
Make three evenly spaced marks (D) along the length of the grip rail on the alignment groove.
Firmly secure the grip rail to a workbench or other suitable surface.
Drill a 3/16" hole at each mark, centered on the alignment groove.
Debur the holes if needed.
Peel the adhesive backing off a spacer.
Apply the spacer to the back of the grip rail. Interlock the alignment rail with the spacer groove.
Align the screw holes.
Apply the other four spacers.
Attach the grip rail to the end cap with the #6 x 3/8" screws (provided).
Confirm the bottom of the grip rail is not twisted outward and is pressed firmly against the wall
rail.
Secure the assembly for drilling to a workbench or other suitable surface.
Using the existing holes as guides, drill five 3/16" holes through the wall rail.
Remove the grip rail screws from the end caps.
Separate the two rails.
Debur the holes if needed.
