6.3 Initial start-up

At this stage, the on-off valve installed on the inlet pipe can remain closed. Fill the lifting station with clean
water. Open the on-off valve installed on the outlet pipe (connection to the public / private sewer) and
make sure that the pipes have a perfect seal and the pumps are operating properly.
The flow of liquid from the different users must not hinder the correct operation of the floats instal-
led in the basin.
Now you can open the on-off valve in the inlet pipe.
6.4 Checking the direction of rotation of the motor

6.5 Product description

The SINGLEBOX and DOUBLEBOX lifting stations are composed of one or two electric pumps, one or
more floats and an electric panel (optional).

This lifting station is needed whenever the wastewater collection point is located at a lower level than the
public / private sewer to which it must be connected, so that the effluent cannot be conveyed to the

6.5.1 Operation
When the liquid inside the basin reaches the level corresponding to the closing of the contact in the
pump's float switch, the pump starts up and gradually drains the basin. The pump is switched off when
the liquid drops to the minimum level corresponding to the opening of the contact in the float switch.
For systems with two pumps, the float switches are positioned so that the second pump is switched on
after the first one, but only if the latter is unable to deliver to the sewer the same volume of liquid that is
flowing in from the different users.
The system may be equipped with an additional float which is installed at a higher point compared to the
other float switches in the pumping station. This float is used to warn that the level of the liquid in the
basin is too high. In this case a command and control panel is also required.
