Ensure the planing head [6-3] is clean and fitted
according to the illustration and screw it tight. Ensure
that the mounting flange [6-1] and the clamping flan-
ge [6-2] are in the correct position. The holes in the
planing head [6-3] must fit onto the follow-up pins
on the mounting flange [6-1]. Insert the pin [6-4] into
the hole on the planing head to secure it.
Screw the cover guard [6-5] onto the pendulum mount
[6-6].
Screw the cover guard [6-7] onto the blade guard [6-8].
Select the depth to be milled as described in Section
7.2 (Cutting Depth Adjustment).
9.2 RS-HK 160x80 Curve-Cutting Attachment
Using the curve-cutting attachment, you can sink
grooves, mill and cut curves as illustrated below. For
this purpose, the curve-cutting attachment swivels
by up to 45°.
Set the saw to the minimal cutting depth.
Remove the saw blade [3-3] by following the instruc-
tions in Section 7.7 (Replacing the saw blade).
Unscrew the following components:
Plate [5-1] covering the blade guard
Guard [5-2] covering the pendulum mount
Dust extraction connection [5-3]
Riving knife [5-4]
Ensure the curve-cutting head [7-3] is clean and fitted
according to the illustration and screw it tight. Ensure
that the mounting flange [7-1] and the clamping flan-
ge [7-2] are in the correct position. The holes in the
curve-cutting head [7-3] must fit onto the follow-up
pins on the mounting flange [7-1]. Insert the pin [7-4]
into the hole on the curve-cutting head to secure it.
Screw the cover guard [7-5] onto the pendulum mount
[7-6].
Screw the cover guard [7-7] onto the blade guard [7-8].
Select the depth to be milled as described in Section
7.2 (Cutting Depth Adjustment) and the angle to be
milled as described in Section 7.3 (Cutting Angle
Adjustment).
You can check the curve depth against the angle to
be milled on the table on the blade guard.

10 Maintenance

the motor housing to be opened, must only be
carried out by an authorised service workshop.

Observe the following instructions:
f To ensure constant air circulation, always keep
the cooling air openings in the housing clean and
free of blockages.
f Use an extractor on all openings of the power tool
to remove chips and splinters.
f Use an extractor on all openings of the power tool
to remove chips and splinters.
f Only store the power tool in a dry, frost-free room.
After an operating period of approx. 200 hours, the
following maintenance work must be performed:
f Check the motor brushes and replace if necessary.
Clean the motor housing.
f Renew the grease filling of the gear box.

11 Environment

Do not throw the power tool in your household waste!
Dispose of the machine, accessories and packaging
at an environmentally-responsible recycling centre!
Observe the valid national regulations.
EU only: European Directive 2002/96/EC stipulate
that used electric power tools must be collected
separately and disposed of at an environmentally
responsible recycling centre.
