ProDUct DescrIPtIon
Smartbox Invest is a measuring device and a
temperature control unit for all investment
materials and liquids. Its integrated cooling system,
excellent storage conditions and precisely
functioning measuring technology means that
accurate and reproduceable mixing results can be
obtained.
sMartbox Invest FUnctIons
_ Powder amounts can be selected in 5 g
increments from 50-1000 g
_ Liquid concentration 0 – 100 % in 1 %
increments/1 ml increments
_ Ratio of powder/liquid:
50 – 250 g powder reference quantity
Total amount of liquid (based on powder
reference quantity) 1 – 99 ml in 1 ml increments
_ Dense liquid from 1.0 g/cm
increments
_ Cooling temperature: 16 – 25 °C/60 – 77 °F
(no heating function)
_ Operation via multi-functional rotary knob or
press button (turning = selection, pressing =
confirmation) and 2 further keys.
UnPackInG anD InsPectIon
After unpacking, the machine must be immedi-
ately inspected for any possible damage during
transit. Should any damage have occurred during
transit, please report it to the supplier immedia-
tely. The machine is delivered ready for use.
Please keep all packaging!

Check the voltage specified on the type plate on
the back of the casing corresponds to the mains
voltage available.

settInG UP the
DevIce/asseMbly
After transporting the machine at low temperatu-
res, you must allow it to acclimatise itself to room
temperature before switching on.
swItchInG the voltaGe
It is possible to switch from 230 V to 100 V and vice
versa. To do so, pull out the fuse holder and position
the insert in such a way that the voltage is clearly
visible in the small window. After that, insert the
fuse holder along with the fuse back in again.
electrIcal connectIon
Position the machine and insert the accompanying
power cable into the back of the device (check the
right voltage setting under the power cable connec-
tion, see also section on ‚Switching the voltage').
Now connect the plug to the mains supply.
connectInG the extractIon UnIt
When using the extraction unit, first plug the
extraction hose into the back of the device. The
Smartbox Invest control unit is programmed in
such a way that it can be switched on only during
the measuring of the powder. In order for this
function to operate, the power cable of the extrac-
tion unit has to be connected to Smartbox Invest
using an appropriate connection lead (114956).
InstallatIon locatIon
In order to avoid extreme thermal and mechanical
influences and any influences from moisture, the
following details must be observed:
_ Do not install the machine in direct sunlight.
_ Do not install next to vibrating units or similar
devices.
_ Do not place near steam cleaners.
If the device is placed under a shelf or similar, the
lid opening can be altered.
