lID oPenInG oPtIons
The lid can be used either hinged or detached.
By default, the lid is assembled so that it can be
opened on hinges. This can be changed as follows:
First lift the lid (9). The lid's opening mechanism
is fixed with two Allen screws that are located on
each side in a metal locking device. These locking
devices have an inner and an outer borehole.
Position 1: Metal locking device pushed inwards
and screws in the outer boreholes = lid can be
opened on its hinge.
Position 2: Metal locking devices pushed out-
wards and screws in inner boreholes = lid can be
taken off (to do so, pull the lid forwards at an
angle of about 20°).

An arrow ( > ) marks the parameter in the menu
that can be changed or selected. The arrow can
be moved by turning the MFK.
settInG the lanGUaGe
There is a choice of five languages for Smartbox
Invest's controls (German, English, Italian, French
and Spanish). If the preset language is not the
language you want, then switch the machine off.
Then press the return button (2) and the start
button (3) at the same time and switch the ma-
chine on when the buttons are still being pressed.
Keep pressing the buttons (2 and 3) until the
language selection menu appears.
Using the MFK (1), select the desired language
(by turning) and confirm it (by pressing). After
the language has been set, menu level 1 will
appear automatically.
charGInG sMartbox Invest
Before charging, lay out all components so that
charging can be done quickly. After about 3-5
hours, all the components will have achieved the
required set temperature. Pre-heated components
minimise the time needed to reach the required
set temperature! The cooling time also always
depends on the ambient or room temperature!
Example: cool down components that are 25 °C to
the 18 °C set temperature in the device = cooling
time approx. 3.5 hours.
