The installation must be compliant, for member states of the EEC, with directive 2006/42/EC and subsequent amendments, while
for other states it must be compliant with local health and safety Legislation.
This rotary lobe vacuum/pressure pump has been designed to create a vacuum or pressure inside a tank to which it is connected.
No liquids, powders, or solids of any kind must enter the rotary lobe vacuum/pressure pump, as these may
cause it to break. It is therefore necessary to equip the system with overflow safety valves.
Any other use of the rotary lobe vacuum/pressure pump different to that specified is to be considered strictly
prohibited, not intended by the manufacturer and therefore highly dangerous.
Do not use the rotary lobe vacuum/pressure pump to transfer flammable and/or explosive liquids and
materials and materials that release flammable gases.
Do not use the rotary lobe vacuum/pressure pump in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Never remove the protections arranged on the pump and check their efficiency each time the machine is
used.
All operations must be carried out with the machine at a standstill and by qualified personnel.
Unqualified personnel is not authorised to work on or near the rotary lobe vacuum/pressure pump.

Failure to comply with the provisions contained in this manual shall give rise to the following dangers:
• Crushing hazard due to the weight of the rotary lobe vacuum/pressure pump during handling and transport;
• In-running nip point hazard in transmission components in the event the necessary protections are removed (avoid clothing with
wide sleeves, ties, bracelets, necklaces, etc.);
• Thermal type hazards due to the high temperatures reached by the rotary lobe vacuum/pressure pump;
• Noise hazard due to the noise produced and failure to wear personal protective equipment;
• Shearing hazard for the operator during testing, with the rotary lobe vacuum/pressure pump suction and delivery tubes disconnected
• Flying solid or liquid debris hazard following the serious breakage of the rotary lobe vacuum/pressure pump;
