STARTING/STOPPING THE STRING TRIMMER
Before starting the string trimmer
◾
Make sure that you have a secure and balanced footing.
◾
Stand upright and hold the string trimmer in a relaxed position.
◾
Make sure that the cutting line is not touching the ground or any other objects.
◾
Hold the string trimmer with both hands: one hand on the rear handle and one
hand on the front-assist handle.
To start the string trimmer
(Fig. 9)
1. Press the lock-off button down and
hold it in that position. Press the
trigger to turn on the string trimmer.
Release the lock-off button and
continue to squeeze the trigger for
continued operation.
2. The rotational speed of the trimmer
head is controlled with the variable-speed trigger. More pressure on the trigger
results in higher speed; less pressure on the trigger results in lower speed. Adjust
the speed to suit the task at hand.
Speed Adjustment Function (Fig. 9)
The string trimmer has two speed ranges. Position"1" is for low speeds and Position
"2" for higher speeds. Push or pull the high/low speed switch to choose the suitable
speed during operation.
To stop the string trimmer
Release the trigger to stop the string trimmer.
NOTICE: The motor runs only when the lock-off button and trigger are both pressed.
