Start-up

Only qualified staff may start up an appliance, a group
of appliances, or the external unit by agreement with
the operator.
This work must be performed according to the
KALEA GM FR assembly instructions.
These instructions are available from qualified staff.
The appliance may only be started up in the intended
installation room and after checking for completeness.
WARNING
Danger from carry-over of leaked flam-

§ Prior to start-up and restarting, fill the
drain with approx. 2 litres (0.5 gallons) of
water (H2O). Prevents carry-over of refri-
gerant into drains.
Damage to the electrical system and/or
the refrigerant circuit.
Contact with live parts may result in electric
shock. Flammable refrigerant can escape and
cause an explosive gas/air mixture. Fire haz-
ard due to sparking or overload.
§ Do not operate a damaged appliance.
§ Do not connect any damaged parts to the
power supply, e.g. connecting cables.
§ Only qualified staff may replace damaged
parts, e.g. connecting cables.
§ Observe safety notices and warnings for
appliances with flammable refrigerants

§ The ambient temperature must not fall below 16°C
(60.8°F).
Material and property damage due to incor-
rect commissioning.
§ Requirements before applying the operating
voltage:
- Defrosting water drain must be available
[see } Chapter 8].
- For appliances with a brine circuit, the waste heat
system must be in operation.
- Protective film must be removed from glass
doors/side panels.
Removing the protective film from inside
