EMPTY THE WATER TANK AFTER EACH USE.
CAUTION
Exercise caution when opening the appliance. Standing to
the side, open the door slowly and only slightly to let hot
air and/or steam escape.
Keep your face clear of the opening and make sure

there are no children or pets near the unit.
After the hot air and/or steam is released, proceed with

your cooking.
Keep the appliance door shut unless necessary for

cooking or cleaning purposes.
Do not leave the open appliance door unattended.

Carefully open the appliance door.

Ecolytic Clean
Some surfaces in the steam oven cavity have a self-clean-
ing surface. You can refresh them with the"Ecolytic Clean"
function.
The side, ceiling and back panels are coated with a por-
ous, matte ceramic material known as an ecolytic coating.
The coating absorbs and breaks down splashes from bak-
ing, roasting and broiling over time, while the oven is in
operation. If the surfaces no longer clean themselves ade-
quately and dark patches appear, you can run "Ecolytic
Clean". This mode operates at a higher temperature,
which helps to speed up the self-cleaning process.
NOTICE:
Follow these recommendations to avoid damage to the
self-cleaning surfaces or accessories.
The appliance records the number of times it is used
▶
and indicates when cleaning is recommended. The rec-
ommendation is displayed until "Ecolytic Clean" has fin-
ished. Always carry out the cleaning function when
prompted.
If your appliance becomes prematurely soiled or if you

notice dark patches on the back panel you should run
"Ecolytic Clean", even if there is no recommendation
displayed.
The more often the appliance is cleaned, the longer the
▶
porous surfaces will retain their cleaning capability. You
can use "Ecolytic Clean" as often as necessary.
Do not clean parts or accessories with "Ecolytic Clean".

Note: During operation and while the cleaning function is
active, reddish patches may form on the surfaces. This is
not rust, but food residues. These patches are not haz-
ardous to your health and do not limit the cleaning capac-
ity of the self-cleaning surfaces.

The cleaning cycle takes 1 hour. The duration cannot

Keep the kitchen ventilated while the cleaning function

is running.
Wipe out large spills from the oven cavity.

Touch the bottom line.

Press START I STOP.

Easy clean
This function makes it easier to clean the bottom of the
oven cavity. Food and food spills are soaked and can then
be removed more easily.
Setting Easy Clean for the steam oven
CAUTION
Hot steam can arise due to water in the hot oven cavity.
Never pour water into the hot oven cavity.

Note: Do not open the appliance door during operation, or
the function will be interrupted.
Requirement: The oven cavity has cooled off.
Remove all racks and accessories from the oven cavity.
