Possible Cause (s)
1. Circuit breakers tripped
2. Inadequate cord sets or
extension cords
1. Possible defective Safety Relief
Valve.
2. Excessive air tank pressure
Defective gaskets
Defective inlet (reed) valve
Condensation in air tank caused
by high level of atmospheric
humidity or the unit is not
run long enough
1. Restricted Air Intake Filter
2. The unit on unlevel
surface
3. Crankcase overfilled with oil
4. Wrong viscosity
5. Plugged crankcase breather
6. Oil leaks
7. Worn piston rings or scored
cylinder
Water in oil due to condensation
Inadequate cord sets or extension
cords

Corrective Action
1. Reset circuit breakers
2. Check cord sets or extension cords
capabilities
1. Operate Safety Relief Valve manually by
pulling on ring. If it still leaks, it should be
replaced
2. Clean, reset or replace Pilot Valve
Tighten bolts on compressor head to proper
torque or replace gaskets
Contact your Customer Service
Run the unit a minimum of one hour to
prevent condensation buildup. Drain air tank
after every use. Drain air tank more often in
humid weather and use an air line filter
1. Clean or replace
2. Do not incline the unit more than 10° in
any direction while running
3. Drain oil. Refill to proper level with
SAE-30W non-detergent oil
4. Drain oil. Refill to proper level with
SAE-30W non-detergent oil
5. Clean or replace
6. Tighten bolts on compressor to proper
torque or replace gaskets
7. Contact your Customer Service
Change oil and move air compressor to a less
humid environment
Check cord sets or extension cords capabili-
ties in section Maintenance; Cable Size in this
manual. Consult your customer service.
