PROBLEM
7. The motor shuts down
whilst working
8. The blades do not engage
or do not stop promptly
when they are disengaged
9. Uneven cut and poor
grass collection
10. Unusual vibrations
while working
11. Uncertain or ineffective
braking
12. Erratic forward movement,
poor drive when going
uphill or if the machine has
a tendency to rear up
13. With the engine running,
the machine does not move
when the drive pedal is
pressed (for hydrostatic
drive models)
LIKELY CAUSE
– the safety devices have cut in
– poblems with engagement
mechanism
– cutting deck not parallel to the
ground
– blade cuts badly
– forward speed too high
compared to the height
of the grass
– collector channel is blocked
– cutting deck is full of grass
– blades are unbalanced or loose
– bolts and screws are loose
– the brake is not adjusted correctly
– problems with the belt
or the engagement device
– move the disengagement lever
to position «B»
SOLUTION
– check that the conditions allowing
starting are met (
– contact Your Dealer
– check the tyre pressure (
– realign the cutting deck (
– contact Your Dealer
– reduce forward speed and/or
raise the cutting deck (
– wait for the grass to dry
– remove the grass-catcher and
empty the collector channel
