Wiring
Caution!
When installing Ex-approved devices in a hazardous area please take special note of the instructions
and connection schematics in the respective Ex documentation added to this operating manual. The
local E+H representative is available for assistance if required.
For wiring the device proceed as follows:
1.
Remove the cover clamp (see Fig. 3, item 1).
2.
Remove the device cover (see Fig. 3, item 2).
3.
Remove the display from the electronics module (see Fig. 3, item 3).
4.
Open the 2 screws of the electronics unit and remove the electronics unit (see Fig. 3, item 4).
5.
Open the cable gland at the device (see Fig. 3, item 5).
6.
Feed the cable through the opening in the cable gland.
7.
Connect the wires (→ Fig. 5).
8.
Make sure that the terminal screws are tight. Re-seal the cable gland by screwing the cover
back on.
9.
In order to avoid connection errors always take note of the hints given in the section
connection check!

Caution!
Protect the terminals from electrostatic discharge. Failure to observe this may result in destruction
of parts of the electronics.
