IV. GETTING STARTED
Before any intervention on product, ensure that switch is set on the "OFF" position,
remove the battery and unplug the charger from its power source.
4.1- Unpacking
- Remove product from its packaging.
- Check that tool and accessories are not damage.
4.2- Assembly - Changing the saw blade
Remarks:
- Switch off the jigsaw and remove the battery before changing the blade or carrying out any other
work on the jigsaw.
- Wear protective gloves to avoid any injury while handling the blade.
- Clean the blade holder.
- Only fit blades with "B" type tail.
- Clean the blade tail before assembly.
Note: only use clean tools. Lightly grease the tail of the blade before mounting it into the blade holder.
To insert a blade
1. Turn the clamping ring (4) to the left (in the direction of the arrow engraved
on the ring).
2. Insert the blade between the 2 plates of the blade holder (3).
Note: Make sure that the hole machined on the end of the blade coincides
with the small lug in the blade holder.
3. Make sure the blade is correctly inserted, tighten the clamping ring (4) to
the right.
Check the blade is properly locked by pulling it.
To remove a blade
1. Turn the clamping ring (4) to the left (in the direction of the arrow engraved on the ring).
2. Remove the blade from the blade holder (3).
3. Clean the blade, apply some grease or lubricant, and store it.
4.3- Battery & Charger
NOTE: The battery and the charger are NOT supplied.
The recommended battery and charger for the tool are listed in table 3 and 2 respectively.
Note: always completely charge a battery in its recommended charger before first time use.
LEDs on battery
The LEDs on the battery (b) indicate the charging level of the battery.
Press on button [a], the LEDs battery level will light up:
3 LEDs on = the battery is fully charged (full capacity).
2 LEDs on = the battery is half charged (medium capacity).
1 LED on = the battery capacity is low and needs to be charged.
0 LED on = the battery is depleted.
Inserting and removing the battery (tool)
a) To insert the battery on tool: slide the battery into its compartment on the handle bottom part.
Make sure that the battery is securely locked.
b) To remove the battery: press the release button (c) and pull battery out of the compartment.
