Pull off the battery insulating strip on the cover of the battery compartment and remove the battery's pro-
tective film and insert the battery according to polarity. If the scales show no function remove the batteries
completely and put them in again.
Your personal scales are fitted with a "replace battery" display. If the personal scales are operated using an
extremely weak battery, the message "Lo" will appear on the display panel and the personal scales switch off
automatically. In this case, the batteries must be replaced (BG75: 1 piece 9V alkaline battery 6LR61, BG50:
1 piece 3V lithium battery CR 2032).
Spent batteries and rechargeable batteries do not constitute normal household waste! They are considered
to be toxic waste and, as such, should be disposed of in special containers, toxic waste collection points or
brought to electrical goods dealers. You are legally obliged to dispose of the batteries.
Note: Batteries containing pollutant substances are marked as follows: Pb = Battery con-
tains lead, Cd = Battery contains cadmium, Hg = Battery contains mercury.
Position the personal scales on a firm, flat surface; a firm flooring is a basic requirement
for correct weight measurement.
