Motor starter
5. Electrical connection
While working on motor starters that are live, observe the applicable national regulations for the prevention of
accidents (e.g. VBG 4).
Perform the electrical installation according to the pertinent regulations (e.g. cable cross−sections, protections, PE
connections). The documentation contains additional notes.
The documentation contains notes for the EMC−compliant installation (shielding, earthing, arrangement of filters and
routing of cables). Also observe these notes for CE−marked motor starters. The manufacturer of the system or
machine is responsible for maintaining the limit values required by the EMC regulation.
6. Operation
You may have to fit systems with built−in motor starters with additional monitoring and protection devices according
to the respective safety regulations (e.g. law on technical equipment, regulations for the prevention of accidents).
You may adjust the motor starters to their application. Observe the notes in the documentation for this purpose.
Keep all protective covers and doors closed during operation.
7. Maintenance and service
Observe the documentation of the manufacturer.
