Technical refinements of the Big Pilot's Watch
Your IWC watch shows you the time in hours, minutes and seconds, as well
as the date and the power reserve. The mechanical movement with 42 jewels
and automatic winding has a power reserve of seven days (168 hours) when
fully wound. The engraved rotor winds the watch in both directions of rotation
via the Pellaton automatic winding system patented by IWC. The case with
its screw-in crown and sapphire glass (hardness grade 9 on the Mohs scale)
protects the internal workings of the watch against external influences.
