WARNING: Exposure to vibrations through prolonged
use of combustion engine-driven tools could cause
blood vessel or nerve damage in the fingers, hands,
and wrists of people prone to circulation disorders or
abnormal swellings. Prolonged use in cold weather
has been linked to blood vessel damage in otherwise
healthy people. If symptoms occur such as numbness,
pain, loss of strength, change in skin colour or texture,
or loss of feeling in the fingers, hands, or wrists,
discontinue the use of this tool and seek medical
attention.
WARNING - The machine, when used correctly, is a useful
and effective tool; if used incorrectly or without the
necessary precautions, it can be dangerous. To ensure your
safety and comfort, always observe the safety instructions
given here below and throughout this manual.

pacemakers. To reduce the risk of serious or fatal
injury, persons with pacemakers should consult their
doctor or the manufacturer of the pacemaker before
using this machine.
WARNING: – National regulations could limit use of the
machine.
1. R e a d t h i s m a n u a l c a r e f u l l y u n t i l y o u c o m p l e t e l y
understand and can follow all safety rules, precautions,
and operating instructions before attempting to use the
unit.
2. Always keep the manual nearby so that you can refer to it
as needed. If the manual gets lost, request a new one.
3. Restrict the use of your machine to adult users who
understand and can follow the safety rules, precautions,
and operating instructions found in this manual. Minors
should never be allowed to use the machine.
4. Do not handle or operate the machine when you are
fatigued, ill, or upset, or if you have taken alcohol, drugs,
or medication. You must be in good physical condition

and mentally alert. Using the machine is strenuous; if
you have any condition that might be aggravated by
strenuous work, check with your doctor before operating
the machine. Be more cautious before rest periods and
towards the end of your shift (Fig. 1).
5. Keep children, bystanders, and animals a minimum of
15 metres away from the work area. Do not allow other
people or animals to be near the machine when starting or
operating it (Fig. 2).
6. While working with the machine, always use approved
protective safety clothing. Do not wear clothes, scarves,
ties or bracelets that may get stuck into undergrowth. Tie
up and protect long hair (for example with foulards, cap,
helmets, etc.). Safety boots having skid-proof sole and
anti-piercing insert. Wear protective goggles or face
screens. Use protections against noise: for example,
noise reduction ear guards or earplugs. Wear gloves
that permit the maximum absorption of vibrations
(Fig. 3-4-5-6).
7. Only allow others to use the machine who have read
this operator's manual or received adequate instructions
for the safe and proper use of the machine. If you lend
the machine to someone, also give them the instruction
manual and ensure that they read it before using the
machine.
8. Check the machine daily to ensure that all safety and other
devices are fully operational.
9. Never use a damaged, modified, or improperly repaired or
assembled machine. Do not remove, damage or deactivate
any of the safety devices. Always replace safety devices
immediately if they are damaged, broken or otherwise
inappropriate.
10. Carefully plan your work in advance. Do not start working
until you have a clear work area and a secure footing.
11. All inter ventions on the machine, other than those
indicated in this manual, must be carried out by qualified
personnel.
12. This mower is a product intended exclusively for cutting
grass. It is inadvisable to cut other types of material.
Any other usage not indicated in these instructions may

damage the machine and pose a serious hazard to people
or property.
13. It is prohibited to hitch tools or applications to the PTO
that are not specified by the manufacturer.
14. All labels with health hazards must be kept in good conditions.
In case of damage or deterioration, immediately substitute
them (see pag. 6-7).
15. Do not utilize the machine for uses different from the ones
specified in the manual (see pag. 26).
16. It is the user's responsibility to evaluate the potential risks
that may arise in the area to be worked on. It is also the
user's responsibility to take all the necessary precautions
to ensure his/her safety, particularly on slopes, uneven or
slippery land and loose ground.
17. Make sure you have a firm foothold when work ing
on slopes. Wor k across slopes, never ascending or
descending. Do not use the machine on land with a
gradient of more than 10° (17%).
18. Please note that the owner or the user is responsible for
any accidents or damage to third parties or their property.
19. At the moment of engaging the cutter bar, make certain
there is no one in front of or near the machine. Grip the
handlebars tightly.
20. When operating the mower, keep a safe distance from the
cutter bar, equivalent to the length of the handlebars.
21. When operating the machine on steep slopes, the user
must ensure that nobody is located within a 20 metre
radius of the machine. The user must be in complete
control of the machine.
22. The machine can be fitted with different accessories. It
is the owner's responsibility to ensure that these tools
or accessories conform to applicable European safety
regulations. Using non-certified accessories can jeopardise
your safety.
WARNING: Never use a machine with faulty safety
equipment. The machine's safety equipment must be
checked and maintained as described in this section.
If your machine fails any of these checks contact your
service agent to get it repaired.
