Vernier caliper/gauge arm calibration
1. Call up the calibration menu (refer to Section )
2. Press the <MENU> key until
hand display.
3. Move the vernier caliper to the rest position.
4. Read the value off the vernier caliper millimeter sca-
le and enter with the <-> or <+> key.
 The value appears on the right in the display.
5. Confirm with the
<RIM DISTANCE>
 The left-hand display shows
B
6. Move the cursor of distance B against the interior of
the flange. Measure and set the value read and press
<RIM DISTANCE>.
 The value appears on the right in the display.
7. Move the vernier caliper to the rest position.
 The left-hand display shows
8. Keeping the distance B cursor in standby, move the
cursor of width A width against the external part of
the flange and press
 The left-hand display shows
9. Assemble the width calibration pin on the external
part of the flange.

10. Move the width cursor against the end of the pin and
press
<RIM DISTANCE>.
 The left-hand display shows
11. Remove the pin and assemble a 14'' or 15'' steel
sample wheel using the relevant hold-down nut.
12. Position the vernier caliper at the rim flange.
13. Use the <-> or <+> key to enter the rim diameter of
the mounted wheel in inches.
14. Hold the vernier caliper in position and confirm
with the
<RIM DISTANCE>
 The left-hand display shows
 Procedure completed.
