Installation checklist / After maintenance checklist (before each patient
installation )
• Verify the good general condition of the stationary canister.
• Check that the humidifier outlet is not distorted.
• Check that the flow rate selector knob rotates easily and that the indexing is aligned correctly for all
settings.
• Verify operation of the ambient valve. Assure that the portable canister is easily placed on the stationary
canister.
• Connect portable on the stationary canister to insure good connection and to check vertical alignment
of the assembly (portable on stationary canister).
• Check that the level indicator indicates a coherent value.
• Check battery indicator. Change battery if necessary.

Starting checklist (before each use)

• connect a patient circuit that is clean and in good general condition. Change it if necessary.
• Fill the humidifier with water and re-fasten it tightly in order to avoid all leaks.
• Check the good general condition of tube between cannula and humidifier (flexibility, not obstructed,
connection without leak, ...). Replace it if necessary.
• Check the level of water in the water collecting bottle. Empty it if necessary (clean and dry it regularly).
• Adjust the oxygen flow rate to the prescribed value.
• Check that the nasal cannula are not obstructed and that oxygen flows out (cf test with water).
• In case of use with portable canister outside, check that the oxygen quantity is sufficient for the
planned travel.

This treatment therefore includes the use and storage of a liquid oxygen container in my home.
( This may require me on occasion to transport a 0.5l or 1.2l container of liquid oxygen in my car. This use is exceptional
and strictly therapeutic ).
Please advise me if I need to take out additional cover for this, or if, like most other insurance companies, your company
agrees to cover this risk without any surcharge.
