Adjust the protection guard in such a manner that sparking is prevented
in the direction of the operator.
Removing the wheel guard:
Press the fastening lever to release it. Rotate the wheel guard in non-operating
position so that the four teeth coincide with the four grooves in the bearing seat.
Remove the wheel guard.
Changing the Cutting Discs
Attention!
The Cutting discs, spacer discs and the flange nut might heat up
enormously during operation. You could burn your hands or get cut or
ripped by the segments.
Therefore, always use protective gloves when changing the grinding
wheel.
Attention!
Before any work on the tool, disconnect the plug from the mains!
Pay attention to the dimensions of the grinding tools. The mounting hole
diameter must fit the mounting flange without play. Do not use reducers
or adapters.
Changing the cutting wheel when the suction hood is fitted:
For clamping and loosening the grinding tools, lock the grinder spindle with the
spindle lock button (E) (see fig.3).
Actuate the spindle lock button only when the grinder spindle is at a standstill.
Otherwise, the machine may become damaged.
With this button depressed rotate the wheel until it has profoundly gone deeper.
To change discs, the suction hood must be disassembled or refitted
together with the cutting wheel.
The flange (F) can be detached using the supplied wrench as well as the
additional adapter ring (H) (fig.4).
Unscrew the flange completely from the spindle.
Open the locking lever (J) and turn the suction hood anti-clockwise, until it
unlatches clearly from its holder (fig.5+6).
Now detach the hood together with the cutting wheel from the machine (fig.7).
When fitting the cutting wheel, the wheel and the hood must be fitted together.
To do so, place the wheel in the hood and position both accordingly on the
spindle and the gearbox neck (fig.8).
Now actuate the locking lever and turn the extractor hood clockwise in the
direction of the gearbox whilst at the same time applying pressure, until the
locking lever locks into the groove of the suction hood (fig9+10).
Screw the flange (F) onto the spindle and tighten it with the help of the
assembly tool (H) whilst actuating the spindle lock at the same time.
