PROBLEM
No sound.

16. Storing the device when not in use

 If you do not intend to use the device over a longer period of time, store it
in a cool, dry place and make sure that it is protected from dust and extreme
temperature fluctuations.
 If the device is not to be used for a long period, remove the battery from the
remote control, and disconnect the mains adapter from the device.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
The volume is set
too low.
Malfunction caused
by a thunderstorm,
static charge or
another external
factor.
The battery is flat or
incorrectly inserted.
The infrared
transmitter is not
receiving a signal.
CD inserted
incorrectly.
CD damaged or
dirty.
Incorrect CD format.
REMEDY
 Increase the volume as required.
 During AUX playback: also turn
up the volume on the playback
device.
 Unplug the mains adapter and
remove the battery. Plug the
mains adapter back in.
This resets the device to
the factory settings.
 Replace the battery with a new
3 V, CR2025 battery and make
sure the polarity is correct when
inserting it.
 Remove any obstacles between
the infrared transmitter, the
remote control and the sensor on
the device.
 Reduce the distance to the device.
 Insert the CD with the label facing
upwards.
 Check whether the disc is
damaged by trying another disc. If
the disc is dirty, clean it carefully,
wiping it from the centre to the
edge with a soft, dry cloth.
 Only use CDs that are specified as
compatible in the technical data.
