− choice of decimal points (see 3.5);
− immediate or later visualization of
the votes (see 3.6);
− the visualization of the votes 1-5 or
6-10 on the Slave scoreboard (see
3.7).

EMOTE ONTROL TO VOTE
The remote controls commanded by the judges
allow set-up and visualisation of the vote on the
display of the remote control itself and their sending
to the scoreboard, with the following keys:
SEND The score is sent to the display.
SCORE
+ The vote on the display is increased.
- The
decreased.
F1 Pressing for 3 seconds, the decimal
point of the vote shown on the
display of the remote control flashes
alternately (independently of the
scoreboard panel).
0, 1, ..., 9 Numerical keys for voting.
Resets the vote on the display.
CANCEL
Shows and sets up the number of

Acquisition
It is not used.

2.3.1 Setting of the vote
The vote can be set up with the numerical keys ('0',
'1', ..., '9') or with the plus key '+' or minus key '-'.
The last inserted digit always appears to the right of
the display. For the maximum score, 10.0 or 100,
pressing the second 0 does not produce the loss of
the most significant digit but the appearance of the
number "10" when the decimal point is active, or
"00" when it is not active. With the 'CANCEL' key it
is possible to clear the score.
2.4
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Each remote control is supplied with its own
battery, with a life span of over 2 years. Once flat,
the battery can be replaced as follows:

unscrew the two screws on the back of the
remote control and remove the cover;
disconnect and extract the old battery and
connect and insert the new one in the same
position;
pay attention to the internal wires, reposition the
cover and replace the screws.
A 9V alkaline battery, type PP3, must be used.

ROGRAMMING
The scoreboard is programmed with the remote
control marked with code 0 [u0] and it will be
necessary to define:

the calculation method for the result,
the rounding method used for the result,
the use or not, of the decimal point in voting,
the timing of the visualization,
the visualization of the votes of judges 1-5 or 6-10
if using the Slave scoreboard.
3.1 R
EMOTE CONTROLS ACQUISITION
The remote control programmer and the other
is
voting remote controls supplied with KPB, are pre-
set by the manufacturer, with identifying codes
(from 0 to 10) marked on the labels of each of the
remote controls, and are already acquired by the
KPB. When the spare remote control is used, it is
necessary to program it with the relevant identifying
number
communication to the KPB as in the following
procedure:
turn on the KPB with the 'ON-OFF' key;
press continually on the 'ACQUISITION' key
('ACQ') found at the top of the front panel;
press the 'Remote Control Acquisition' key of
the remote control: the correct acquisition of the
remote control occurs when the letter "u"
appears, followed by the number of the remote
control on the display of the totalizator (e.g. "u2");
release the 'ACQ' button.
At the end of the operation, it is a good idea to
attach a label of the identifying number onto the
remote control, using the numbered labels supplied
with the KPB. This procedure can also be
performed
necessary. KPB only recognizes the last acquired
remote control with the code "u x".
3.2
NUMBER OF JUDGES
With the '# Judges' key of the 0 remote control it
is possible to define the number of voting judges
from 1 to 10 (the visualization of the scores from 6
to 10 requires a second scoreboard connected in
serial to the first):
