NSTALLATION
KPB can be set up vertically, on the floor or above
a table, by rotating the supporting stirrup at the
bottom of the case to 90°, or alternatively, it can be
hung on the wall with the attachment holes at the
back of the case. Make sure that the chosen
position is stable and guarantees a clear vision to
the users.
1.3 T
RANSPORT
KPB can be easily transported owing to the handle
on the left side of the case, whilst the remote
controls are fitted inside a suitcase. If the
equipment needs to be sent by mail, it is advisable
to recycle the original package material.
1.4 T
URNING ON
After connecting KPB to the power supply, switch it
on with the 'ON-OFF' button situated at the top of
the front panel; at this point the start-up indications
light up on the display for about 2.5 seconds and
subsequently the previous scores appear.
Further pressure applied to the 'ON-OFF' button
turns KPB off, only leaving a decimal point
activated to show that the scoreboard is in stand-by
mode and currently inactive.
1.4.1 Starting indications
When the equipment is switched on, several
symbols indicate for 2.5 seconds, the principal
settings of the panel.

EMOTE CONTROLS
KPB is supplied with the following infrared remote
controls contained in a suitcase:
one for programming and authorizing the vote,
used by the scoreboard operator and marked with
the number 0;

up to ten remote controls for voting, each one
associated with a specific judge and marked with
the numbers 1, 2, 3,..., 9, A;
one that acts as a spare unit.
Each remote control has its own display and can be
programmed by the scoreboard operator or by a
judge. The keyboard of each remote control has a
series of numerical and other functional keys for
programming and voting. Pressing on any of the
keys activates the remote control from stand-by
mode. Some keys send a signal to the scoreboard;
if the keys are not pressed for more than 12
seconds, the remote control returns to stand-by and
the display turns off.

EMOTE CONTROL CODE
The user number of the remote control appears on
each of the displays by pressing the 'USER
NUMBER' key: the indication "ux" appears for 3
seconds, where "x" is the number of the remote
control. If the 'USER NUMBER' key is pressed for
more than 3 seconds it starts flashing, at this point it
is possible to change the USER NUMBER by
pressing any numerical key from '0' to '9'; number
10 is indicated by "uA" and is set up with the '+' key.

The 0 remote control permits to begin voting as
well as setting up the parameters of the
scoreboard, by using the following keys.

CONTROL TO ROGRAMMING
The voting can begin, enabling the
scoreboard to receive the votes from
the other remote controls.
Turns the display of the scoreboard
on or off.
Clears the scoreboard.
After pressing a numerical key, it
sends the number of the judges'
votes to the scoreboard (see 3.2).
After pressing a numerical key, the
calculation method of the result for
the scoreboard is set up (see 3.3).
Shows and sets up the number of
the remote control on the display of
the remote control.
Sends the identifying number of the
remote control (see 3.1)
