The product must be installed only by qualifi ed persons, according to the local safety standards and regu-
lations.
Fracarro Radioindustrie is free from all civil and criminal responsibility due to breaches of the current legisla-
tion derived from the improper use of the product by the installer, user or third parties.
It is classifi ed as Class II, in accordance with EN 60065 and, for this reason, it shall not be connected to the
protective earth (PE) of the supply mains.
The product must be used in full compliance with the instructions given in this manual, in order to protect the
operator against all possible injury and the product from being damaged.
Installation warnings
•
Use only the original power cable, installing the product so that the mains plug is easily accessible.
•
The product must not be exposed to dripping or splashing and thus it shall be installed indoors, in a
dry place.
•
Humidity and condensation could damage the product. In case of condensation, wait until the product
is dry before using it.
•
Don't install the product above or close to heat sources, in dusty places or where it might come into
contact with corrosive substances.
•
The excessive operating temperature or excessive heating can compromise the operation and the life
of the product.
•
Handle with care. Shock improper could damage the product.
•
Leave enough space around the product housing to ensure suffi cient ventilation; an excessive tempe-
rature and/or an excessive heating may affect the performance and the life of the product.
•
In the event that the unit is fi xed to the wall, use the proper screw anchors suitable to the characteristics
of the fi xing support.
Earthing of the antenna system
The product must be connected to the earth electrode of the antenna system, in accordance with standard
EN60728-11. The screw (terminal) arranged for this scope is marked by the symbol
It is recommended to follow the provisions of the standard EN60728-11 and do not connect this terminal to
the protective earth (PE) of the supply mains.
IMPORTANT:
Never remove the lid of the feeder as there are live parts inside.
In the event of a malfunctioning do not try to fi x the product as the guarantee would be invalidated.
2.1 PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
FRPRO10HD is a high selectivity cluster headend unit (channel groups) that allows the fi ltering and amplifi ca-
tion of several TV channels. The UHF band clusters can be programmed per channel group, from a minimum
of 1 channel to a maximum of 6 channels per cluster The maximum number of clusters per headend is 10.
The unit can fi lter maximum 60 programs (6 channels * 10 clusters = 60 channels).
The headend unit can be programmed through a keyboard and a LCD screen or through PC software (FR
PRO, downloadable from the website www.fracarro.com).
The confi guration of a headend unit can be copied quickly and easily onto another unit of the same model or
series (i.e. FIL10, FRPRO 06 for FIL 06) by using a USB pen drive.
The product is equipped with the cluster self-alignment function that allows the automatic regulation of the
gain so that the signals are equalized at the output and have the best noise fi gure.
The product cools naturally without the use of fans.
