The table on the mobile dust extractor
explains this connection for the mini­
mum required extraction volume of
the respective hose diameter. If the
rate is below the respective extraction
volume, a warning signal is emitted.
Possible causes
Value set on the suction power adjust­
er [1-13] is too low.
Rotary knob [1-15] not set to the cor­
rect hose diameter.
Suction hose blocked or kinked.
Filter bag full.
Filter element clogged.
Monitoring electronics malfunction.
Wet extraction.

8 Working

8.1 AUTOClean - Cleaning the main filter
Only in conjunction with disposal bag
(compliance with dust class 'L/M'). Not
suitable for wet extraction!
Automatic cleaning
Activate using the rotary knob [1-14].
Manual cleaning
Turn the switch [1-12] to the AC symbol.
Full manual cleaning [4]
► Cover the end of the nozzle or suction hose
with your hand or closing slide CT-VS
(497926).
► Turn the switch [1-12] to the AC symbol.

Solution
Set the suction power adjuster to a higher value (see
Chapter 7.2).
Set the knob to the correct hose diameter (see Chap­
ter 7.1 ).
Remove blockage or kink.
Insert a new filter bag (see Chapter 9.1 ).
Change the filter element (see Chapter 9.1).
Only AUTOClean: Clean filter element (see chapter 8.1).
Send to a Festool service workshop for repair.
Functional reliability not affected, no actions required.
8.2 Extracting dry materials
Hazardous dust
Damage to the respiratory passage
► Always use a filter or disposal bag!
► Only use when volumetric flow monitoring
is functional (dust class M only).
When extracting large quantities of oak
or beech wood dust or dust that exceeds
the permitted limit values, only extract from a
single machine (electric or air tool).
Observe the following when extracting dust
generated by operating electric power tools:
Ensure there is adequate ventilation! Observe
regional regulations!
Limit values: exhaust air max. 50% of the clear
air volume
