4.4.4 Replacing the speech diaphragm or O-ring
1. Pull the inner mask out of the groove of
the threaded ring.
2. Unscrew the threaded ring with the pin
wrench.
3. Turn the pin wrench and carefully insert
it in the holes of the protective grille. Do
not damage the foil on the diaphragm.
4. Turn the speech diaphragm to remove
it.
5. Remove the O-ring from the connector using the sealing ring lifter.
6. Check the speech diaphragm and O-ring, and replace if
necessary.
7. Attach the inner mask. Make sure that the edge lies in the groove
all around. The centre markings on the connector and on the inner
mask must coincide.
4.4.5 Replacing the exhalation valve disc
1. Perform a visual inspection of the exhalation valve disc (see
Chapter 4.3.3 on Page 19).
2. Fit the exhalation valve cover. Ensure that it locks into place.
4.4.6 Replacing the inhalation valve disc
1. Pull the connector out of the mask body (see Chapter 4.4.2 on
Page 20).
2. Remove the old valve disc and fit the new disc.
3. Insert the connector in the mask body (see Chapter 4.4.2 on
Page 20).
5 Transport
Transport the full face mask in a carrying box or mask bag.

6 Storage
Loosen the harness as far as possible (tab).

Wipe uncoated visors with an anti-static cloth. Do not wipe coated

visors.
Pack the full face mask in its bag or a storage box.

Store it in a dry, dust-free place where it cannot become deformed.

Storage temperature –15 °C to +25 °C.
Protect from direct sunlight and thermal radiation.
Observe ISO 2230 and national regulations concerning the storage,
maintenance and cleaning of rubber products.
Dräger rubber products are treated with an agent to protect against
premature ageing which in some cases is visible as a grey-white
coating. This coating can be washed off with a brush and soapy water.
7 Disposal
Dispose of the full face mask in accordance with the applicable rules
and regulations.
