► Fasten and adjust the waist belt (2) so that it rests
comfortably but securely on your hips.
► Fasten the chest strap (1) and adjust it so that it fits
comfortably but securely across your chest.
► Adjust the harness straps so that the backpack fits firmly
and securely against your back.
► Thread the end of the waist belt through the loop (3).
To help reduce the risk of injury in the event of an
emergency, practice quickly opening the fastener on the
waist belt, loosening the shoulder straps and removing the
battery backpack.
NOTICE
To avoid damage, ease the battery backpack to the ground
when practicing. Do not allow the battery to drop to the
ground and do not throw it.

12.3 STIHL Battery Belt

12.3.1 Mounting the AP Battery Bag to the STIHL Battery Belt
WARNING
To reduce the risk of injury from tripping or losing control of
the hedge trimmer, always secure the connecting cord with
the hook and eye fasteners. Position and secure the
connecting cord so that it will not interfere with proper
working technique or your ability to maintain control of the
hedge trimmer.

WARNING
Manage the cord to prevent it from contacting the cutting
blades or catching on objects, which could cause you to lose
balance or control of the hedge trimmer, resulting in serious
personal injury and property damage.

► Open the hook and eye fastener on the strap (1) and pull
the strap out of the ring (2).
► Pull the strap through the battery belt (3).

► Pull the strap (1) back through the ring (2) and battery
belt (3).
► Fasten the hook and eye fastener.
