Using the stove
Caution!
a
The heating element used in this appliance ensures a rapid heat-
up. Ensure that the cooking surface is free of any combustible
materials before operation.
Caution!
a
The heating area will remain hot after the burner is switched off.
Watch the LED "Surface Hot" and take care not to place anything
on the stovetop, which may be damaged or become hot to the
touch until cool-down is complete.
To obtain the best cooking results from this stove, observe the following basic
rules when cooking or preparing food:
The heating areas heat up is almost instantly, but they cool down slow-
ly.Therefore turn the control knob immediately to the desired heat setting.
Use pans and pots of good quality and with a flat bottom to ensure com-
plete contact with the heating area.
A proper relationship of pan or pot to heating area improves the efficiency.
Stainless steel and cast iron pans work best. Aluminium pans are not
recommended for the maximum heat setting.
Ensure the pan is the same size or slightly larger than the heating area.
The size and location of each element is indicated by the graphic design
on the cooking surface.
The use of undersized pans will expose a portion of the heating element
to direct contact and may result in ignition of clothing.
Ensure the bottom of the pan is dry.
To reduce the risk of burns, ignition of flammable materials, and spillage
due to unintentional contact with the pan, position the handle of the pan
so, that it is turned inward and does not extend over adjacent heating
areas.
