5. Before starting the equipment
Before you connect the equipment to the mains
supply make sure that the data on the rating plate
are identical to the mains data.
Warning!
Always pull the power plug before making
adjustments to the equipment.
The plug on the power tool must fi t into the
socket. The socket must not be modifi ed in
any way. Do not use adapter plugs with pow-
er tools that have a grounded plug.
Unmodifi ed plugs and matching sockets will redu-
ce the risk of electric shock.
Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces
such as pipes, heating systems, stoves and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of elec-
tric shock if your body is grounded.
If you use an electric power tool outdoors,
use only extension cables that are suitable
for outdoor use. The use of an extension cable
which is suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk
of electric shock.
If you cannot avoid using the power tool in a
damp location, use a residual current device
(RCD) circuit breaker.
The use of a residual current device (RCD) circuit
breaker will reduce the risk of electric shock.
We recommend that you connect the hedge
trimmer only to an electricity source protected by
a residual current device (RCD) breaker with a
maximum trip current of 30 mA.
Warning! Do not connect the chainsaw to the po-
wer supply until it has been fully assembled and
the chain tension has been adjusted. Always wear
protective gloves when working on the chainsaw
to protect yourself against injury.
Carefully unpack all parts and check that they are
complete (Fig. 1).
Fitting the steady grip (Fig. 3a – 3c)
Remove the fastening screw (Fig. 3a/Item A) from
the steady grip and open the fastening clip (Fig.
3b/Item B). Now mount the steady grip on the
tube of the motor unit (Fig. 3b/Item 11a) as shown
in Fig. 3b. Then close the fastening clip and secu-
re with the fastening screw.

Mounting the extension pole and saw unit
(Fig. 4a – 4c)
Depending on the height you need to reach, you
can use the electric pole pruner with or without
the extension pole (Fig. 2/Item 9). To use it, loosen
the fastening screw on the motor unit (Fig. 4a/Item
C). Remove the protective cap (Fig. 2/Item 14)
from the extension pole and insert the extension
pole into the mounting on the motor unit. When
inserting the extension pole, ensure that the snap
button latches in the hole in the mounting (Fig. 4b/
Item D). Then fasten the extension pole using the
fastening screw. To mount the saw unit, loosen
the fastening screw (Fig. 4c/Item C). Remove the
protective cap (Fig. 2/Item 14) from the saw unit
and insert the saw unit into the mounting on the
extension pole. Once again, ensure that the snap
button latches in the hole in the mounting (see
Fig. 4b/Item D). Then fasten the saw unit using the
fastening screw.
Assembly of the cutter bar and chain
Undo the fixing screw (C) for the chain wheel
cover (Fig. 5) using the hexagonal wrench
(16).
Take off the chain wheel cover (K) (Fig. 5).
Lay the chain as shown in the groove which
runs around the cutter bar (Fig. 6/Item A).
Insert the cutter bar and chain as shown in
the mounting on the chainsaw (Fig. 7), pla-
cing the chain around the chain wheel (Fig. 7
/ Item B). The chain tensioning screw bolt (H)
must be located in the cutter bar bolt opening.
Attach the chain wheel cover (Fig. 8/Item C)
and hand tighten the fastening nut (Fig. 8 /
Item.K).
Important! Do not fully tighten the fi xing screw
until after adjusting the chain tension (refer to
point 5.3).
Tensioning the saw chain
Warning! Always disconnect the mains plug
before performing any checks or adjustments. Al-
ways wear protective gloves when working on the
chainsaw to protect yourself against injury.
Loosen the fastening nut (C) of the chain
wheel cover a few turns (Fig. 8).
Adjust the chain tension with the chain ten-
sioning screw (Fig. 9/Item D) using the Allen
wrench (17). Turning the screw clockwise
increases the chain tension, turning it anti-
clockwise decreases the chain tension. The
chain tension is correct when the chain can
be lifted by about 2 mm at the center of the
