• Follow the instructions in the display «Connect hose pipe with spout and put in drip
plate» (see Fig. B).
• Press the Control button to confirm.
TIP: Place a sufficiently large receptacle (approx. 0.5 l) under the outlet (5).
• «Rinsing frother, Do not remove h.p.» appears in the display.
• The rinsing takes place automatically and lasts approx. 20 seconds. The appliance
is then immediately ready for operation again.
5.2 Rinsing the spout (outlet)
You should rinse the outlet (spout) (5) from time to time:
Turn the Control button (2) to the symbol in the Main menu:
• Press the Control button to confirm.
• Turn the Control button to «Rinsing the spout» and press it to confirm.
• Press the Control button to confirm.
TIP: Place a sufficiently large receptacle under the outlet (5).
• «Rinsing» appears in the display.
• The rinsing runs automatically and the appliance is then immediately ready for
operation again.

5.3 Cleaning the frother

You should rinse the frother (Fig. D) from time to time with the help of a suitable deter-
gent. You can use «Milk-Clean» for this, which is available from us, or a similar product.
Please note: The running cleaning programme may not be interrupted!
Turn the Control button (2) to the symbol in the Main menu:
• Press the Control button to confirm.
• Turn the Control button to «Cleaning the frother», and press it to confirm.
• The display shows: «Connect hose pipe with spout and put in cleaner»
• Connect the hose to the outlet (8a).
• Put a little water in a receptacle and at least 0.3 l of detergent (refer to manufactur-
ers information for the mixing ratio) and immerse the other end of the hose in it.
• Press the Control button to confirm.
