Battery removal/charging/installation
Battery charger which is commercially available for 12 V batteries can
be used to charge the battery:
(1) Remove the battery cover and check the battery electrolyte level
(see page
(2) Remove the negative ( ) cable from the battery negative ( )
terminal; then remove the positive ( ) cable from the battery
positive ( ) terminal.
(3) Remove the battery strap from the bottom hook.
Disconnect the breather tube and remove the battery.
(4) Remove the battery filler caps, and connect the battery charger
positive ( ) cable to the battery positive ( ) terminal; then
connect the battery charger negative ( ) cable to the battery
negative ( ) terminal.
(5) Charge the battery:
(6) Install the battery in the reverse order of removal.
