6.3 Charging the battery with battery pack removed
from the bike
1 Turn the system off with the on/off switch.
2. Use the key from your bike's ring lock to open the lock of the
battery pack. The key can be removed from the ring lock
after locking your bike.
Removing the battery back from the box:
3. Put the key in the battery pack lock and turn it to the right to
unlock it.
4. Remove the battery pack by pulling it sideways to the left
(using the handle) and then lifting it up and out of the plug
holder.
5. The key can now be removed from the battery pack lock by
turning it to the left. Put the key back in the bike's ring lock.
6. Remove the cap from the battery pack's charging contact and
connect the plug of the charger's cable to the charging contact.
PLEASE NOTE:
Do not connect the charging cable's plug to the battery pack's
charging contact when it is wet.
This can seriously damage the battery pack. Only connect
the charger's cable plug when all connections are completely
dry. Do not apply excessive force to the plug and do not pull
the charger cable while the plug is connected to the charging
contact as this may damage the plug or the cable.
6.4 Placing the battery pack back in the bike
Before placing the battery back in the bike, make sure that the contact points are clean, if necessary remove any dirt.
TIP
Even if charging starts normally, charging might be suspended to protect the battery if the battery temperature
or ambient temperature becomes too high or too low. In this case, the battery may not have sufficiently charged.
Check the battery's residual capacity and recharge if necessary.
