Connecting auxiliary audio
equipment
The AUX IN (external audio input) terminals on
this unit are also used as the BUS AUDIO IN
(audio input) terminals.
You can listen to the sound from your car
speakers by connecting optional Sony portable
devices.
Note
If you connect an optional Sony CD/MD unit, you
cannot connect any portable devices and cannot
select "AUX."
Selecting auxiliary equipment
Press (SOURCE) repeatedly to select
"AUX."
Adjusting the volume level
— AUX Level
You can adjust the volume for each connected
audio equipment.

Press (MENU).

Press < or , repeatedly to select
"Sound," then press (ENTER).

Press < or , repeatedly to select
"AUX Level," then press (ENTER).

Press < or , repeatedly to adjust
the volume level, then press (ENTER).
The volume level is adjustable in 1 dB steps
from –6 dB to +6 dB.

Press (MENU).
The display returns to the normal display.

Other Functions

Setting the custom function

— Custom

You can set one of desired functions to the
CUSTOM button so as to perform the function
easily.
The functions listed below are assignable:
Screen - changes the display mode (page 13).
AF - turns the AF function on or off (page 24).
TA - turns the TA function on or off (page 25).
Mode - changes the band number or playback
unit.
ATT - attenuates the sound quickly (page 35).
Capture - stores the image at the moment the
shutter clicked (page 33).
Image - changes the display pattern of the
display mode selected (page 13).

"Custom," then press (ENTER).

Press < or , repeatedly to select the
desired function to assign, then press
(ENTER).
Each time you press < or ,, the function
changes as follows:

The display returns to the normal display.
