Technical refinements
of the Pilot's Watch Mark XV
Your IWC watch shows you the time in hours, minutes and
seconds and the date. The case and the closure of your
watch are made of stainless steel. The watch is water
resistant to a depth of 60 metres (6 bar) and is protected
by a sapphire glass (hardness grade 9), which is retained
securely in the case at low pressure, such as the drop in
pressure that occurs at extreme altitude. The mechanical
movement with automatic winding has 21 jewels and a
power reserve of 42 hours when fully wound. The inner
case made of soft iron provides the best possible protec-
tion against magnetic fields. To ensure that this excep-
tional watch can continue to perform its tasks, you must
follow a few important operating instructions.
