Operation
Inserting Battery
To open the device, slide back the battery cover. A 9 V block battery
is provided in the battery compartment on delivery. Take it out and
unpack it. Connect the contact clip at the end of the cable to the
battery, making sure that the battery polarity is correct. Once the
battery has been connected, put it back into the battery compart-
ment. The contact clip should point backwards, with the projecting
cables stored underneath the device. When closing the battery
cover, make sure that no cables are caught as they might thereby
become damaged.
Changing the battery
If the indicator lamp does not light up any more when the control
button is pressed, you have to replace the battery. Use a standard
9 V block battery for this.
The battery provided will last for approx. 100 applications.
Never use rechargeable batteries.
Used batteries do not belong in domestic garbage. You are legally
obliged to dispose of the batteries.
Dispose of them through your specialist electrical supplier or at your
local recycling point.
Note: Batteries containing pollutants are marked with the
following symbols: Pb = Battery contains lead, Cd = Bat-
tery contains cadmium, Hg = Battery contains mercury
