These instructions for use may be downloaded in other languages from the
database for technical documentation (www.draeger.com/ifu) in electronic
form, or a free printed copy (order no. 90 33 740) can be obtained from
Dräger.

Basic safety information

 Before using this product, carefully read these Instructions for Use and
those of the associated products.
 Strictly follow the Instructions for Use. The user must fully understand and
strictly observe the instructions. Use the product only for the purposes
specified in the Intended use section of this document.
Do not dispose of the Instructions for Use. Ensure that they are retained and

appropriately used by the product user.
Only trained and competent users are permitted to use this product.

 Comply with all local and national rules and regulations associated with this
product (e.g. IEC 60079-14).
 Only trained and competent personnel are permitted to inspect, repair, and
service the product as detailed in the Maintenance section of these
instructions for use (see section 5 on page 23) and the technical manual
(order no. 90 33 742). Further maintenance work that is not detailed in these
Instructions for Use must only be carried out by Dräger or personnel
qualified by Dräger. Dräger recommends a Dräger service contract for all
maintenance activities.
Only use genuine Dräger spare parts and accessories. Otherwise, the

proper functioning of the product may be impaired.
Do not use a faulty or incomplete product, and do not modify the product.

 Notify Dräger in the event of any component fault or failure.
 Substitution of components may impair intrinsic safety.
Incorrect calibration
An incorrect calibration leads to incorrect measured values.
► The sensitivity must be checked daily before first using the device, with a
known concentration of the gas to be measured that corresponds to 25 to
50 % of the final concentration. The accuracy must amount to 0 to +20 % of
the actual value. The accuracy can be corrected by calibration.
