5 THE ANTI-FOG LENS OF PINLOCK
The Pinlock
anti-fog lens, made of plastic material able to absorb moisture, limits
®
the tarnishing onset creating an insulating and airtight chamber that does not com-
promise the field of vision.
Warning! The anti-fog devices delay the formation of the condensation, but do
not guarantee that the phenomenon does not arise: in presence of such a device
the time of tarnishing appearance will be larger. So, in extreme environmental
conditions the visor tarnishing can take place.
Warning! The usage of Pinlock
lens is always recommended with an air tem-

perature lower than 20° C and/or with higher moisture than 70% and/or in case
of rain.
5.1 INSTALLATION
Condition: the visor has been removed from the helmet and it has been
well-cleaned. The lens is placed on the visor inner surface, oriented with

5.2 REMOVAL
Condition: the visor has been removed from the helmet (see paragraph 4.2).
Slightly enlarge the visor (1) holding its extremities (arrows).
Lift the lens (2) by acting on its lower central part, so release it from the pins (3) you
find on the visor; first from one side, then from the other.
→ The lens is now detached. Remove it.
Warning! The Pinlock
branded lens must be handled with care and without the

aid of tools that can scratch it or abrade the surface.
5.3 CLEANING
To clean the Pinlock
branded lens, use a mild liquid soap and a soft cloth moistened
®
with lukewarm water. Before installing it again, it's necessary to let it perfectly dry for
a day at least. Do not dry by rubbing.
Warning! Do not use abrasive tools or aggressive products containing ammonia
or alcohol for cleaning.

6 THE CHEEK PADS
The inside part of K6 helmet consists of: two lateral cheek pads connected by the
neck roll, the top crown pad, the wind protector and the chin strap cover. These com-
ponents are individually extractable.
6.1 REMOVAL
Condition: place yourself in a sitting position
laying the helmet upside down on your knees.
Start the operation from the right side.
Pull the cheek pad (1) and extract it
(arrows) until the plastic attachment
band is unfastened (2) from its cou-
pling place between the shell and the
inner polystyrene.
Release the cheek pad from the shell
by unfastening the 3 automatic but-
tons (4, below image) that keep it
secured to the polystyrene.
Repeat the previous operations on
the other side.
Remove the chin strap from the
housing of the cheek pad.
→ The cheek pads are now released and
it's possible to remove them.
6.2 INSTALLATION
Condition: place yourself in a sitting position
laying the helmet upside down on your knees.
Start the operation from the right side.
Move the cheek pad (1) close to the
inside of the shell.
Insert the chin strap into the designat-
ed housing (2) on the cheek pads.

polystyrene,
securing
the
shaped edge (3) to the two red clips (4).
Notice! It's advisable to secure
at first the cheek pads rear
part and then the front one.
Secure the cheek pads to the shell by
fastening the 3 automatic buttons (5)
that fix it to the inner polystyrene.
Repeat the previous operations on
the other side.
→ Check if the cheek pad is firmly
secured.
