lower edge of the opening. Use the recommended
lubricants only.
7.
Clean the plug (D or D+), fit with a new sealing
ring and screw it in again.
8.
Fit the plastic covers (if present) and line with an
acid-resistant sealant.
Note for pumps with a coupling ball valve on
the drainage opening
Fig. 15.: Coupling ball valve

Drainage opening with coupling ball valve
When coupling ball valves are used, no screw
connections need to be released. The lever on the
ball valve is used to drain the oil.
• To drain the lubricant, turn the lever in the direc-
tion of flow (parallel to the ball valve).
• To close the drainage opening, turn the lever
crosswise to the flow direction (to the coupling
ball valve) again.
8.3.10. Motors T 20.1, T 50, T 50.1, T 72: Emptying the
leakage chamber
The leakage chamber is normally empty and col-
lects leaks from the seal on the motor side.

1.
Lay the pump horizontally on a firm surface with
the plug facing upwards.
Make sure that the pump cannot fall and/or slip
away!
2.
Remove the plastic cover (if present) and carefully
and slowly unscrew the plug(s) (L and L-).
3.
Drain off the fluid by turning the pump until the
opening (L-) faces downwards. Collect the fluid in
a suitable container and dispose of according to
the requirements in the "Disposal" section.
4.
Turn the pump back until the opening(s) is/are
facing upwards again.
5.
Clean the plug(s) (L and L-), fit with a new sealing
ring and screw in again.
6.
Fit the plastic cover (if present) and line with an
acid-resistant sealant.
8.3.11. T 50, T 50.1, T 72: Lubricate the roller bearings
You do not need to remove the roller bearings to
lubricate them. Observe, however, the general
notes for the maintenance work (isolating the
unit from the power supply, letting it cool down,
etc.)

1.
Remove the plug(s) (F+). The lubricating nipples
for lubricating the bearings are located behind. On
the motor T 50 and T 50.1 the nipple for venting
(F) must also be opened.
2.
Press the new grease into the lubricating nipples
(F+) with a grease press. The following quantities
should be used:
• Motor T 50 and T 50.1:
Bottom roller bearing: 200 g
• Motor T 72:
Top roller bearing: 20 g
Bottom roller bearing: 160 g
3.
Clean the lubricating nipples and screw the
plug(s) (F and F+) in again.
8.3.12. T 24 ... T 72: Draining condensation
Condensation can be drained without the unit
being dismantled. Observe, however, the general
notes for the maintenance work (isolating the
unit from the power supply, letting it cool down,
etc.)
Fig. 18.: Plug for condensation

1.
Remove the plug (S-).
2.
The condensation drains off by itself and must be
caught in a container.
3.
Clean the plug (S-), fit with a new sealing ring and
screw in again.

8.3.13. General overhaul

During a general overhaul, the motor bearings,
shaft seals, O rings and power supply cables are
inspected and replaced as required in addition to
normal maintenance work. This work may only be
conducted by the manufacturer or an authorized
service center.

8.4. Repairs

When carrying out repairs, you must:
• Disconnect the pump from the electricity supply
and secure it to prevent accidental activation.
• Let the pump cool down and clean it thoroughly.
• Ensure that all operating parts are in good con-
dition.
• Always replace O-rings, seals and screw fasteners
(spring washers, Nord Lock washers).
• The specified tightening torques must be adhered
to.
• Never use brute force during this work!
8.4.1. Use of screw locking
All screws generally have some form of locking.
Always renew it after disassembly.
There are various ways to lock screws:
• Liquid screw adhesive, e.g. with Loctite 243
• Mechanical screw locking with a Nord Lock
washer
Liquid screw locking
The liquid screw lock can only be released by
heating it up (to around 300 °C). The parts con-
