1-A Starting the wash cycle
Make sure that the cold water, hot water and steam taps are open (the latter applies only to
steam-heated machines).
Turn ON the automatic thermomagnetic cutoff switch on the wall.
Then fill the various dispenser compartments with soap (foam-damping type) according to cycle
selection, i.e.:
Bac1 = prewash tray (when scheduled in the wash cycle selected)
Bac2 = main wash tray
Bac3= tray for other products to be added after washing (bleach)
Bac4= tray for other products to be added during last rinse
Select a program using the "SELECT" and "UP" or "DOWN" keys simultaneously.
Load the machine and shut the door. Then push the "START" key. The machine will lock the
door and will start executing the steps scheduled in the program. Loading the machine with less
than 80% of its rated capacity may hinder correct operation and even cause damage.
1-B Changing cycle selection after the start
After the start, the program in progress can be changed before two minutes have elapsed. During
the first two minutes of a cycle, this is actually indicated by the square blinking around the P that
stands for Program; after the square stops blinking it is no longer possible to change cycle
selection unless by scrolling the program fast forward to the end or stopping it and then selecting
a different cycle.
1-C Fast-forwarding cycle steps
To fast-forward the steps of the cycle in progress, press the "START" and introduce your
password (6 times ECO key in standard). To reach the end of the cycle directly and enable door
opening, hold down the said key for 5 minutes.
1-D Pausing ("PAUSE ")
To schedule a pause during cycle execution, press the "UP" and "DOWN" keys simultaneously.
Timing control, drum movement, water intaking and heating are then suspended.
When pausing, the door is interlocked and the drain valve is closed, so that the water existing in
the tub is not drained off.
Of course, it is not possible to schedule a pause when the machine is spinning, whatever the
spinning speed.
As soon as the relevant two keys are pressed and the pause begins, a device starts timing the
pause, whose length is read in the hh/mm format.
To resume cycle execution exactly from the point it was suspended, just press the "START" key.
Warning
If the machine was set to pause during a step envisaging heating, water temperature will
inevitably decrease!
