Check that there is no electrical connection (bridge) between the 2nd flame thermostat terminals and that this thermostat
is not connected.
Operate the 1st flame air regulation screw to put the shutter which regulates the air for the first flame in the position
considered necessary to allow for a flow of air in proportion to the amount of fuel delivered for the 1st flame (see Bt
8920/1 and BT 8943). Close the main switch in order to connect the burner, and wait for it to start up.
With the burner operating at the 1st flame, correct, if necessary, the combustion air delivery by operating the regulating
cam of the 1st flame. After regulating the air, disconnect the burner and re-connect it again to make sure that ignition
occurs correctly. It should be remembered that, normally, the quantity of air required for a soft ignition is the minimum
indispensable. If ignition occurs softly, disconnect the burner from the main switch and make a direct connection
(bridge) between the 2nd flame thermostat terminals. By operating the cam, regulate the combustion air to the extent
considered necessary for the insertion of the 2nd flame (see BT 8920/1 and BT 8943).
Now re-connect the burner and it will start operating with the 1st flame. Operate the air regulation cam of the 2nd
flame in order to obtain the quantity of air considered necessary for the specific conditions. The burner is supplied
with regulating screws for the flame disk position and this device permits a perfection of the combustion by reducing
(tight the screw n°2), or increasing (untight the screw n°2), the air passage between the disk and the head. It is
normally necessary to reduce the air passage between the disk and the head when operating with a reduced fuel
delivery. This passage must be proportionately opened more when the burner is working with a higher fuel delivery
(see 0002933230). After having modified the flame disk position, it is usually necessary to correct the air regulation
shutter positions of the 1st and 2nd flame, and subsequently, verify that ignition occurs correctly.
MAINTENANCE
At the end of the heating season, it is good practice to clean the filter, the combustion head (disk, insulator, electrodes,
nozzles, the combustion air passage and the photoresistant cell.
It is advisable to use wood or plastic instruments to clean the nozzle passages.
Nozzles should be replaced after 12 months' use.

IGNITION AND ADJUSTMENT

After having installed the nozzle, check the correct
position of the electrodes and disk according to
the following levels. It's adviseable to check levels
after every intervention on head.
N.B. To prevent damage to the support or the pre-
heater effect nozzle assembly/disassembly tasks with
the aid of a wrench and counter-wrench.
