Important Safeguards

1.
Please read the following information and
keep it for future reference.
2.
This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, un-
less they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
3.
Children should be supervised in order
to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
4.
Keep the appliance out of reach of child-
ren.
5.
Connect the appliance only to an AC
power supply with the voltage indicated
on the rating plate.
6.
Do not operate this appliance with an ex-
ternal timer or remote control system.
7.
The handle must never be immersed into
the liquid.
8.
Do not clean the appliance and the pro-
tective cap in the dishwasher.
9.
Switch on the appliance only after putting
it into a jug with flat bottom.
10. When placing the attachments take care
that the attachment is fixed firmly. For re-
adjusting please follow the instructions
on page 37. No responsability for collateral
damages due to unproperly fixed attach-
ments.
11. Whenever the knife is bent or damaged,
we recommend to replace it immediately
in order to avoid collateral damages of
saucepans and recipients.
12. The appliance is fitted with safety press-
switch, which prevents the unit being
unintentionally switched on, and also
switches it off as soon as the press-switch
is released.
13. Do not apply too much pressure when
chopping hard foodstuff, just hold the
blender on the foodstuff and move it
slightly up and down.
14. Never touch the appliance or lead cable
with wet hands.
15. Do not place the appliance or lead cable
near open flames during operation.
16. Make sure that the lead cable does not
hang over the edge of the worktop or
table, since this can cause accidents, for
example if small children pull on the cable.
17. Route the lead cable so that it is preven-
ted from being pulled or tripped over.
18. Always disconnect the lead cable from the
wall socket pulling on the plug, never on
the cable.
19. To avoid injuries, never touch the rotary
parts of the appliance and do not put ob-
jects or parts of the body in the operating
appliance.
20. Do not use the appliance with accessories
of other manufacturers or brands, to pre-
vent damage.
21. Disconnect the appliance from the wall
socket after use and prior to cleaning.
Never leave the appliance unattended
when it is connected to the wall socket.
22. Check the appliance, the wall socket
and the lead cable regularly for wear or
damage. In case the lead cable or other
parts appear damaged, please send the
appliance or the base to our after sales
service for inspection and repair (for ad-
dress, see warranty terms). Unauthorised
repairs can constitute serious risks for the
user and void the warranty.
