• Check the charge level of the battery. Check the battery cells.
• Check the connections of the battery cable.
• Handle zero point shifted, see error code "OFF Handle reset".
Power consumption too high
• Check propeller for sti ness.
• Corrosion or short-circuit at cable connectors in the upper
motor housing.
• Check the battery cells.
Motor noise too loud and/or vibrations
• Check t and condition of the propeller; if necessary remount
the propeller o set by 180°.
• Bent shaft. Remove the propeller and run the motor at
medium speed, paying attention to shaft noises.
• If the shaft is bent, send the motor in for repair.
• Turn the propeller by hand, in case of sti ness send in the
motor for servicing.

Debugging of the controller unit may only be
carried out by a Rhino-Motors Service Partner.
Motor does not reach maximum power

Cause
2x Motor/propeller jammed
2x Motor control unit is overheated (>85°C)
2x Battery voltage too high
2x Battery voltage too low
2x USB power supply error
1. The motor is switched on, but the rotary
handle (tiller) is not in zero position.
2. After protection functions have been trig-
gered, e.g. due to a jammed propeller
3. After debugging (see 3.4)
to shift. For example, after replacing the potentiometer or due
to high voltage peaks after using an unsuitable battery. As a
result, the motor does not reach maximum power.
Debugging the controller unit:
• To do this, remove the four screws below the motor head
(Fig. 10).
• Remove the motor head cover and locate the small reset
switch on the controller next to the LED (Fig. 11).
• Press and hold this button for 5 seconds to enter debugging
mode. The LED starts ashing red.
• Set the rotary handle to maximum reverse position and
brie y press the button again.
• The LED now ashes yellow. Now turn the rotary handle to
the zero position and brie y press the button again.
• The LED now ashes blue. Set the rotary handle to maximum
forward position and brie y press the button again.
• The setting is now complete.

What to do
Turn the rotary handle (tiller) to the zero position, dis-
connect the power supply, then check if line or weeds are
caught in the screw.
Turn the rotary handle (tiller) to the zero position and allow
the motor to cool down for 10 minutes
Install replacement battery with proper voltage.
Charge or replace battery.
Disconnect the external USB device, wait for 2 minutes
and try again.
Move the rotary handle (tiller) to zero position and, if neces-
sary, briefly disconnect the motor from the voltage source
(disconnect the battery).
