IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
FOR BATTERY AND CHARGER
When using an electrical appliance, basic
precaution should always be followed,
including the following:
WARNING:

Read
all
safety
instructions in the
on the battery packs, charger, and
vacuum before using this vacuum.
Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in electric
shock, fire, property damage and/or
serious injury or death.
• Use only RIDGID chargers and battery
pack(s) listed in this manual. A charger
that is suitable for one type of battery
pack may create a risk of fire when used
with another battery pack. Use of any
other battery packs may create a risk of
injury and fire.
• DO NOT use charger to charge non-
rechargeable batteries.
• When charging, make sure that the
charger has at least 6-inches of
clearance on all sides. Adequate airflow
is required to cool the charger when in
use.
• DO NOT charge batteries outdoors.
• Connect charging cord to a properly
grounded outlet only. See Grounding
Instructions.
• DO NOT leave charger plugged in when
not in use.
• DO NOT operate charger if it has
received a sharp blow, been dropped,
or damaged in any way.
• DO NOT use charger if it has a damaged
cord or plug. DO NOT carry charger by
cord.
• DO NOT pull on charger's cord to
unplug. Grasp and pull the plug, not the
cord.

Follow all charging instructions
and do not charge the battery
pack or appliance outside of the
temperature range specified in the
instructions. Charging improperly
or at temperatures outside of the
specified range may damage the
battery and increase the risk of fire.
• DO NOT handle charger, including
charger plug and charger terminals, with
wet hands while charger is plugged in or
while inserting plug into electrical outlet.
• When battery packs are not in use, keep
it away from other metal objects, like
paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws,
or other small metal objects that can
make a connection from one terminal to
another. Shorting the battery packs or
charger terminals together may cause
burns or a fire.
• DO NOT store battery packs in ambient
temperatures below 32°F (0°C) and
away from moisture.
• Store battery packs in a 30% - 50%
charged condition.
• For best results battery pack(s) should
be charged in a location where the
temperature is more than 50°F but less
than 100°F.
• DO NOT expose battery packs to
temperatures above 212ºF (100ºC).
