Setting the equaliser (EQ7)

You can select an equaliser curve for 7 music
types (Xplod, Vocal, Club, Jazz, New Age, Rock,
and Custom).
You can adjust a different equaliser setting for
each source.
Selecting the equaliser curve

Press (SOURCE) to select a source
(radio, CD, MD, MS, or AUX).

Press (SOUND).

Press < or , repeatedly to select
"EQ7."

Press (ENTER).

Press < or , repeatedly to select the
Equaliser mode.
To cancel the equalising effect, select "OFF."

Press (ENTER).
Note
While DSO is active, equaliser settings are
automatically adjusted for best overall effect.
Adjusting the equaliser curve
You can store and adjust the equaliser settings for
frequency and level.

Press (SOURCE) to select a source
(radio, CD, MD, MS, or AUX).

Press (MENU).

Press < or , repeatedly to select
"SoundTuning."

Press (ENTER).

Press M or m repeatedly to select "EQ7
Tune."

Press (ENTER).
Example: EQ7 Tune "Xplod"

Press M or m repeatedly to select the
desired equaliser curve.

Press (ENTER).

Select the desired frequency and level.
1 Press < or , repeatedly to select
the desired frequency.
Each time you press < or ,, the
frequency changes.
62 Hz y 157 Hz y 396 Hz
y 1000 Hz y 2510 Hz
y 6340 Hz y 16000 Hz
2 Press M or m repeatedly to adjust
the desired level.
The level is adjustable by 1 dB steps from
–10 dB to +10 dB.
To restore the factory-set equaliser curve,
press (ENTER) for 2 seconds.
3 Repeat steps 1 and 2 to adjust the
equaliser curve.

Press (ENTER).
After the effect setting is completed, the
display returns to the normal display.
