Use

CAUTION!
• CAUTION: hot surfaces! Parts of the device may be very hot during or immediately
after use. Always use potholders or oven gloves when you open the lid, remove the
steaming container or the drip tray or remove or add food. Only ever touch the device
by the handles!
• CAUTION: danger of scalding from escaping steam! Be careful when you open the
lid or remove a steaming container. Hot steam may emerge.
• Danger of scalding! Hot steam emerges from the ventilation slots in the lid! You
should therefore keep your head and hands out of the danger zone!
• Make sure that the steaming container has been placed into position correctly! Do not
use the device if it has not been set up correctly!
• Do not overfi ll the steaming container so that the hot air can circulate optimally inside
the device.
• Do not overfi ll the water reservoir in the main unit! Do not exceed the MAX marking
in the water reservoir!
• If by mistake you have overfi lled the water reservoir and water leaks out of the main
unit after it has been switched on, you should immediately switch the device off and
remove the plug from the socket. Remove any excess water before you use the de-
vice once more!
• Never operate the device without water in the water reservoir. The water container
must be full at least up to the MIN mark.
• Do not pour any liquids other than water into the water reservoir. Do not add any other
substances (salt, herbs etc.) to the water reservoir!
• Do not place food wrapped in cling fi lm or plastic bags in the steaming container.
1. Place the device on a dry and heat-resistant fl at surface at a safe distance from fl am-
mable objects.
2. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed 220 - 240 volt plug socket.
3. Pour water into the water reservoir of the main unit. Fill the water reservoir at least up
to the MIN marking and no higher than the MAX marking.

4. Place the drip tray into the device. If you wish to fl avour
your food you can place herbs and spices into the drip tray.
