Possible cause
Power failure; the fuse has actuated;
the mains plug is not in properly.
Appliance door opened frequently.
Large quantities of fresh food placed
in the appliance.
The ventilation openings are covered.
Temperature has been set too low.
Not a fault! Your appliance is designed to save energy. Under certain conditions
(e.g. activation of the Fast cooling/Fast freezing function) the appliance must work
harder for a brief period and therefore becomes slightly louder.
The bulb is defective.
The light switch is sticking.
Strong-smelling foods have not been
packed in airtight containers.
Possible cause
The ice maker is not connected
to the power supply.
The ice maker has no water supply.
The freezer compartment temperature is
too high.
Other domestic appliances which
use water are in operation.
Water filter must be changed.
Wrong water pressure.
A wrong water valve has been installed.
The manufacturer is not liable for damage to property due to an incorrect
installation or water connection.
Remedial action
Check that the power is on.
The fuse must be switched on.
Check that the mains plug is plugged in.
Do not open the door unnecessarily.
Switch on Fast cooling/Fast freezing
function.
Remove obstacles and dirt.
Set a warmer temperature
(see "Setting the temperature").
Change the bulb
(see "Changing the bulb").
Check whether it can be moved.
Clean the appliance. Pack strong-smelling
foods in airtight containers (see "Odors").
Remedial action
Call customer service.
Ensure that the water supply line
is connected properly.
Check temperature of the freezer
compartment. If required, lower
the temperature.
Avoid using e.g. a dishwasher, washing
machine or shower at the same time.
Instructions for changing the water
filter can be found in the section
"Water filter".
Check water pressure. The water
pressure must be between 25 and
120 p.s.i. (1.72–8.25 bar).
Self-tapping valves and
