INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1:
Stud
Remove splash shield. Use mounting studs
to locate the anti-theft device. Using the device
as a template, mark mounting hole locations
to vehicle. Drill 3/8" holes at each location.
Existing splash shield mounting nuts may
be used to mount both OEM splash shield
and anti-theft device.
STEP 2:
Rivet tool
Install rivet nuts into holes using included tool.
Thread the large bolt completely into the acorn
nut. Slide the smaller bolt inside the large bolt
and nut, and capture it using the rivet nut with
the flanged portion seating against the acorn
nut. Insert the rivet nut into the drilled hole.
Using a wrench, hold the acorn nut. Making sure
the rivet nut flange is flush to the vehicle body,
loosen the large diameter bolt using a wrench or
socket. You will feel resistance as the tool seats
the rivet nut. Continue loosening the bolt until it
stops. The rivet nut is now seated. To remove tool,
continue holding the acorn nut and tighten the
large diameter bolt 90°. The small bolt may be
loosened, and the entire tool will be free to reset
and reuse.
