The chosen system of units can either be metric or imperial. The whole traverse length is automatically set according to both
length and number of cut-offs.
Warning messages prevent you from handling your tester in the wrong way or keep you informed about any irregularity that
can be checked by the time presettings are being made or measurements carried out. The memory capacity of 2Mbyte allows
you to store up to 60 000 measured values that can be called up back and further printed any time.
Main functions such as starting a measurement and summoning or printing the measurement results are directly accessible
over the keypad whilst any other function linked to measurable roughness parameters remains available as auxiliary function.
In addition to this, each parameter can be toleranced accordingly, what makes series inspection easier.
All data and related settings pertaining to the measurement you've last performed will be stored in the memory as soon as
you turn your TESA-rugosurf off. When powered through the batteries, the tester switches itself off whenever it is left unused
for 2 minutes (or 5 minutes if connected to the mains).
TESA-rugosurf 90G can either be connected to the optional printer or a host computer through the RS232 data output. For
this purpose, use only the cables from TESA that came with the unit. Printing can be started from the printer or by means of
the key (4) available on the gauge unit.
Once the appropriate software has been installed, you can turn the unit on, start a measurement procedure, and execute any
data transfer. This remote control makes displaying and storing curves and roughness parameters easier.

4 ELEMENTS ON THE TOP FACE

The top face includes the colour touch screen along with three keys for the main functions. The screen is a key feature that
allows you to view the measurement results, but also to navigate within each menu.
Using either key, you'll access the main functions easily and quickly (e.g. measuring, displaying, printing the results). All
settings and modifications are made over the touch screen.

Each key includes an auto-repeat function enabling the operation in progress to be continuously repeated until the relevant
key is released.
